Soon
to publish, a rare classic: Hillebrand model 7603, designed by Heinz F.W. Stahl
in the early 70s.
This
is a large, heavy and solid quality lamp that represents the best of German lighting
design from this era. The lamp has a characteristic mushroom-shaped shade in a deep
brown color that provides a pleasant, downward-directed light. The combination with
the elegant brass-colored details makes it a perfect eye-catcher on e.g. a teak
side table, a sideboard or a modern desk.
It
has a shade in lacquered aluminum, which is lacquered white on the inside for optimal
reflection, while the frame and base are brass-colored. On the foot, a large integrated
pressure switch is mounted, for easy on and off. It uses 2x E27 light bulbs ( comes
with 2 pcs LED bulbs.
The
lamp has been completely disassembled, got a new switch, washed and polished, and is ready for its
new home! A very nice vintage stand with some very light use marks, which belongs
after several decades of use.
