I am selling a classic of mid-century modern design: the iconic Hala "Model 1" table lamp, in the "Zonneserie" (Sun series), designed by the renowned Dutch designer H. Th. J. A. Busquet in the 1950s.
This example comes in a gorgeous, contemporary yellow color with the iconic, minimalist metal triangle base
The lamp has an adjustable lighting concept: The shade has a smart two-layer construction with longitudinal light slots. By rotating the inner shade, you can easily regulate the amount of light – from a direct work light to a warm and diffused mood light. The material of this lamp consists of steel and aluminum, and it has an E27 bulb base.
Thanks to the joints on the pole and the lamp head, the lamp can be adjusted at a variety of angles. It can also be hung on the wall if desired.
The lamp has been completely disassembled and carefully cleaned, without affecting its original and beautiful patina.
It is in great vintage condition with normal, charming wear / patina in the paintwork (see photos) that testifies to its over 70 years of history. No big dents or damage. Technically, it works perfectly and is ready to use for many decades to come!
So if you are looking for a very cool industrial or desk lamp, in a Mid century modern, retro/vintage or Bauhaus style from the 1950s, this is definitely the lamp for you!
