Soon I will put out a unique
batch of authentic vintage theater spotlights from the 1940s/50s. The lamps
have a fantastic provenance and originally they came from the historic Saltsjöbadens
theater in Sweden.
These are real, heavy industrial objects in metal with a
lovely, natural patina that gives any room a raw and exclusive feel. The lamps
can be purchased individually, or as a unique, matching pair for e.g. the
living room or perhaps one on each bedside tables?
Professionally upgraded for modern
homes:
In
order for these to be used safely and easily in a regular living room, they
will be given a complete overhaul:
- New electrical system: Converted to standard
E27 socket (ordinary large light bulb).
- Cable: Attach a new, leaky twisted/spun fabric
cord with a grounded plug.
- Dimmer: Dimmers will be mounted on the wires,
so you can regulate from cozy mood lighting to powerful focus lighting.
- Base: The lamps will be fitted with real,
ventilated steel brake discs. This gives the lamps an incredibly cool,
industrial contrast, and acts as a heavy and rock-solid base.
- Bulb included: Dimmable LED bulb included!

"Mini" (Paris, France) Classic French studio spotlights with the
well-known circular Fresnel lens in the front that provides a beautiful,
concentrated light. Perfect on the sideboard, on the bookshelf or on the floor,
standing on a 23 cm brake disc. 🔹 1 x Strand
Electric (London, England) The largest model in the lot from one of the world's
most iconic manufacturers of stage lighting. A real "statement piece"
with raw heat sinks on the back. Mounted on a 30 cm brake disc. More pictures,
after rebuilding and upgrades will come!
