Oscar Torlasco (for Lumi) table lamp, 1960

I am now selling an Italian "design treat", a beautiful table lamp designed by Oscar Torlasco, manufactured by Lumi in Milan, Italy.

The model is called "729" and was designed and manufactured in 1960. It is manufactured in steel and aluminium and is a heavy and sturdy lamp. The beautiful green dome is made of opaline glass and gives a lovely warm light. The top of the lamp is swivel, it can be turned 180 degrees. The black "cup" is loose (and should be) as it is said to be an ashtray (!).

It has some small cosmetic marks on the foot (see pictures) but after just over 60 years of use, some wear and tear must be expected, which is known as patina :-) One can also faintly make out the manufacturer's brand on the lamp arm.

The lamp has been completely overhauled: it has been carefully washed, received a complete new electrical wiring, switch and plug. All the electrical work is done by a professional.
