German table lamp from the 50s – a masterpiece
of mid-century modern design, is now being put up for sale. This exquisite lamp
features a sleek black shade, which elegantly curves over a polished brass arm,
creating a captivating silhouette. The minimalist aesthetic is perfectly complemented
by the sleek, gorgeous base, which consists of a switch, with a subtle brass-covered
switch cover, positioned in the centre of the base.
The brass provides a lovely
contrast to the black color. The inside of the screen has a golden color, which
gives a warm and pleasant light. On the outside, the screen has a deep, black beautiful
color, with some light signs of use, including a slight crackle in the center, probably
due to heat from a too strong bulb, LED is recommended. This does not affect the
overall impression to any great extent, see pictures.
It has been given a completely
new electrical system, including a contemporary twisted fabric cable ( 2m ) and a grounded
plug. All electrical work has been carried out by a professional. The lamp has been
completely disassembled, washed, polished and has only some light marks of use after
70 years of use (see pictures). Secure this gem, not often to see this model on
the market !
